This past December, we had an opportunity to meet some wonderful ladies who serve in our community. Under His Wings, a ministry of Haven of Rest, provides a safe, supportive environment for ladies who have completed a substance abuse program and are starting a new life. Norma and Libby have joined the Lord in His marvelous work in the lives of many, many women, and have this to share about their ministry:
"Since 1999 we have graduated 293 women of all ages and all walks of life. Of these graduates, to our knowledge, 60% have remained clean and sober. Many, many women have accepted Christ as Savior and Lord. Others have renewed their commitment and many relationships have been restored. All of this has been made possible through our LORD JESUS CHRIST."
We are so excited to have another opportunity for involvement in this remarkable ministry! This Spring we will be bringing a Game Night to the women there, and we'd love for you to bring your competitive self over to join in! i would love to be a part, and i am willing to give my testimony if there is opportunity. i UNDERSTAND these women's struggles.
also, i have emailed you regarding a CD i may have given you from our last trip to Cuba....did i give you one??? do you have any pictures of Leonel??? if so..please let me know....i am trying to put together a photot album for Leonel's mother to take when we return this fall.
